La Gastronomica–Barcelona

I met La Gastronomica by an Instagram video with a clean rib bone aside. At that moment I thought “I NEED TO GO THERE”.

La Gastronomica was born in 2017 as a personal project, after more than 20y of experience of its owner Dani Zara. The restaurant has a base the “food to share” and the options are really good for 2/3 people. Of course, if you in more people, you can order different things and share them all. Checking the menu, you will find options for everything – from vegetables to seafood but with special eggs plates and meat in between. As you can see below, my visit covered eggs, scallops, octopus, and of course the ribs.

The rib is amazing! It is cooked for more than 5 hours and the bone loosens perfectly from the flesh. I can prove it below!

La Gastronomica is a very modern and beautiful place. There are standard tables in/outside, and “big” tables on the main saloon. Also, there are some nice “chairs” with a kind of bicycle pedal (it doesn’t work – but it is nice to look!) and it makes the place softly and funny. “Fun” is important to mention, as the waiters are very good, open, and always ready to make your visit better and better.
