Polleria Fontana – Barcelona

In the cozy Gràcia neighborhood in Barcelona, we have Polleria Fontana. Despite the name, it is not a “Polleria”, but a typical Catalan tapas restaurant.

It is really hard to define the best food in Polleria Fontana. Some will go for their croquettes (Chicken, Octopus with Shrimp, and Blue Cheese with mushrooms), while others prefer the octopus. If you have any issue with the selection, you can order the “Tasting Menu” where you will have everything: from croquetas to octopus, but also some salmon, iberic pork, and rice with ribs. Despite this, the menu is short with few options, but everything tastes fantastical!

Polleria Fontana is a cozy and informal restaurant for friends and couples to enjoy a delicious dinner. As the place is small, few people work there and they are really helpful to explain and clarify your questions and points about the food and flavors. On the bar side, you will find since beers, bottles of wine, and some cocktails. Go for your preference, but I can tell you that draft beer is really worth it.

Definitely, Polleria Fontana is the type of place where you go once and plan to visit again to try new options or repeat the same because you really enjoyed it. Maybe you’re asking my personal choice? Blue Cheese with mushrooms croquettes and Octopus with romanesco sauce and mashed potato. GO FOR IT! 🙂
