La Cuina del Port–Porxos del Port
La Cuina del Port was a food festival that happened in June of 2021 with 10 bars of Porxos del Port here in Barcelona…
The idea was really nice and interesting. For a fixed price of €6, you could taste a special tapa chosen by the restaurant and a glass of something – that could be a beer, white wine, red wine, or even cava. The tapas were varied from ensaladillas and cold dishes to paellas. The restaurants were all in Pla de Palau – a famous/historical square in Barceloneta that was Barcelona’s main square once upon a time. In Pla de Palau you will find traditional restaurants, modern bars, bodegas, and even hotels that open their restaurant for visitors.
Particularly speaking, I really like this type of festival, because it gives me a single opportunity to discover places that I’m totally blind to due to the rush of our life. Also, it gives you a better idea of the local market and how the restaurants surviving in these crazy times.
So, I toured the 10 restaurants during these weeks and ended up knowing good options, tasting delicious foods, and having incredible surprises.
Here you will find all photos of the plates and the participants of La Cuina del Port 2021. As I ended up going to all of them, I’ve made a small/personal ranking of the dishes that impressed me the most and the places that I will definitely return to try other options and flavors.
